chriss christenson, jeff mc callum, josh hall, rich pavel, the swift movement, city fog by steve boysen & cj nelson, plus a few surf rx by doc. there is no shop in the county like this one come by & see for yourself.
I dig your shop, and I have been wanting to get some of my boards in there... I thought you were all about supporting your local shapers... but then I found all of my business cards in the trash at Hill Street / Pod Room... I dind't realize I was competition.
dave, where did you drop off your cards?hill st. or in the studio. make sure you drop w/me. there are a lot of heads around here. if you drop in the cafe anything can happen. sorry, about that...........chip
I was just bummed because I had aksed Andy first before I placed them in the cafe, so I was sure I wasn't stepping on anyone's toes... then when I saw them all in the trash... I was told to talk to you about it. I won't name any names, but a person told me that you were doing that to anyone that wasn't affiliated with the "San Diego" crew. That's another thing that bummed me out, because I was a part of the San Diego crew until I moved up to Carlsbad. I was shaping down there in back yards in both Bay Park and Clairemont and out of a bay in Chula Vista with Drew Marquis (until the Fire Marshall shut that one down). I got my first templates from Diffenderfer before he died, and Ekstrom, when they were involved with Transmedia, back in the late 80's. I've played music for years with Rheanna Downey (ala Peter King), BedHead Blonde, 10 Foot Gun, Brain Buckit, played music all over San Diego, and at Caines, Brick by Brick , Berthas, Blind Melons, Etc. I used to go to church every Sunday with Skip Frye when we were both going to Horizon, and I met Josh Hall and other guys from that whole crew through surinf with Skip at the cliffs and PB Point. I was in it all before it was all about The Swift Movement, bro. Just ask Josh or the Skipper. They'll tell ya.
All I wanted was to have some of my boards in your shop. I had even talked to Yoshi about getting some over seas, but he said he couldn't take on another label.
Anyway... no harm done. I dig the new shop location.
